Our Company History
AGC was formed in November 2002 as the result of a joint venture among Sanyo Special Steel Co. Ltd., Showa Seiko Co., and The Timken Company. The facility produces forgings and machined rings to be used in the manufacture of bearings.
Building expansion and capital investments have allowed the facility to acquire highly advanced forging and machining equipment. What began as a joint venture operating a 630-ton press, three Blanking lines and ten CNC lines, is today an independent facility running two Hot Forming presses, three Cold Forming presses, six Blanking lines, and 28 CNC machining lines.
The addition of equipment and machining lines called for significant hiring at AGC. The first large groups of employees joined the company in the Spring of 2003. AGC continues today in seeking out and hiring qualified and team-oriented employees to contribute to the success of the company.
Spring of 2005 brought additional changes for AGC, including the conversion to a nearby company to perform annealing, shotblasting, and lubricating on the parts.
In April of 2010, AGC received Certification to ISO 9001:2008.
